What Do Doulas Actually Do?
Emotional Support
The postpartum period is an incredibly intimate and sensitive time. I will be there to listen and support you, no matter what new challenges arise. Somedays that may mean we chat more than anything else and that’s ok! I’m a great listener - vent away!
Physical Support
Health and wellness are an important part of the postpartum period. With my help, you will have the ability to take the necessary time to your self for recovery and self-care while I tend to the baby and/or help with your needs.
Informational Support
Upon contract signing, I will be available for on-demand questions via email, phone, and text. As you find your groove as a new family, I’ll be there to provide tips and tricks. I also love to make referrals to other professionals within my network.
Feeding Support
Whether breast/chest feeding, formula feeding, or pumping, I will be there to help you and baby find your way. This includes assisting with latch, setting up of feeding stations, and washing of pumping equipment and bottles.
